Spy x Family is back with season one, and it looks like the show didn’t lose a bit of steam during its absence. The show has only gotten bigger since the fall season started. And now, a new report confirms that Spy x Family is breaking records in the second half of its first season.
The news comes from Tadashi Sudo where the writer was able to speak with the president of TV Tokyo. It was there that the journalist said the CEO was thrilled with Spy x Family as its episodes continue to hit record rates.
What is spy x family doing?
According to the president, the first season of Spy x Family is “the best of all shows on all stations for the July 2022 season.” This covers the time frame until October 2nd where Spy x Family returned to TV before then. And while live ratings from cable may be 1.8%, the number of people who sign up or watch Spy x Family to watch it later is staggeringly higher.

How much higher? Well, the chief suggests it’s at least four times higher. As for its first season and mid-season premiere, the show hit record rates with its return. Spy x Family had a massive 6% rating on the return of the first season even though it had a live audience rating of 3.6%. So, if anything, Spy x Family might want to change its time period to accommodate the audiences who have to record episodes.
